About Us

We are a network of individuals, businesses, and organizations working to develop STEAM learning resources for every family in National City.

We believe and understand that the need to increase access to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) fields is vital to the economic sustainability of a region. Our goal is that all students, no matter what communities they represent, have equal access to and the necessary support from their families, schools and communities, to pursue successful educational STEAM careers.

Given the opportunity, students from underrepresented STEAM fields will excel given proper support from family, teachers and mentors. For many students, success is based on more than STEAM knowledge—their ability to stay engaged and get through rough patches with help from role models, family members, peers, and mentors is critical to maintaining interest in a STEAM Career.

We developed an intensive 16 Weeks of STEAM program in National City starting in February of 2021. Please consider supporting our families by making a donation to the National City STEAM Collaborative. Your support will go a long way to changing the economic sustainability and future of our City – National City.

Our Mission: To inspire, develop, and sustain more student interest and career aspirations in  Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) fields with the eventual goal that students in National City will be the communities’ scientists, artists, business owners, entrepreneurs, teachers, doctors, nurses. We are aware that STEAM careers can positively impact the socio economic vitality of the region.
